Suspicious Partner

When you witness a crime but you don't know you have witnessed the crime but criminal feels that you have. He does't know that you don't know he knows. Okay! Enough of this 'They don't know you know they know' stuff! ( I admit I am a big time "friends' fan)

Now back to the story.

Who doesn't love crime, suspense, court room drama with a pinch of romance (and very hot Ji Chang Wook)? Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun) is struggling trainee prosecutor who comes to know that her boyfriend is cheating on her. Angry yet helpless, all she could do is to curse him death every time they pass by each other. And to her surprise on one fated night, he is found murdered in her apartment! She becomes the a prime suspect. To add to her misery, the prosecutor for this case is Noh Ji Wook (Ji Chang Wook) under whom she is undergoing her training.

He is the topper from the office in list of 'the worst prosecutor'. He is disliked by everyone- his colleagues and criminals. Although Bong Hee had very bad first encounter with him, she know that he is trustworthy. During the trial he dismisses the case and Bong Hee is set free. But he has to pay the price by leaving his job as a prosecutor and start private practice as lawyer.

Although acquitted by court, real world still treats Bong Hee as criminal. She is barely surviving as no one is ready to hire her. After two years of struggles she again crosses path with Ji Wook. At the same time the real criminal also reappears in their lives. She decides to catch the real culprit to clear her name. Eventually Ji wook and his team also join her. Will they be able to catch the miscreant?

The good things
  • Do we all agree how ridiculously awesome Ji Chang Wook is! The role suits him very well. But I  did't understand why his hairstyle changes every time he switches his role as prosecutor and lawyer. Nam Ji Hyun has warm screen presence. We just can't hate her. Their chemistry is also very natural. Its funny how Ji wook finds her "dirty but pretty" very aptly.

  • The office staff is adorable. Specially Mr.Bang. Their interactions are hilarious and great comic relief.
  • Jun Hyun Soo played by Dong Ha deserves applause. He is creepy, manipulative and makes you hate him more and more.
What could have been better
  • Although the best friend misunderstanding thing was necessary to create empathy but its dragged way too long. It doesn't even have solid substance.
  • Childhood traumas and links- Favorite trope of drama writers! Ah..why everything always leads back to some accident in childhood.
  • Little bit draggy pieces specially at end. (20 episodes drama curse)
It is decent watch for people who want don't like over the top romantic dramas. It has refreshing story line, good actors, cute OSTs.

Review-Reply 1988

There are 3 dramas in 'Reply' series. I have watched only 1988 version, TWICE. Let me tell you, every episode is almost 1.5 hours yet I have no regrets. As the name suggests this series takes place in the year 1988. It is story of five childhood friends and their families living in Ssangmun-dong neighborhood of Seoul. Duk seon is the only girl in the group of five. Sun Woo is student council president. Jung-Hwan is from rich family. Choi Taek is brilliant Baduk player who has left school to focus on his game. Dong Ryong is mischievous and has no interest in studies. These friends often hang out in Taek's room, dancing, arguing, eating pizza and ramen, watching video tapes. The drama shows daily life and struggles of everyone and how their friendship changes subtly over the course of time. It also has second set of characters-the parents and the siblings. They are also equal part of the drama. The cinematography is really good. If you are 90's kid then you

Anime Review- Erased

Erased/ Boku Dare Ga Inai Machi Meaning- The town without me Country: Japan Genre: Shounen/Seinen There are certain events in our lives which have impacted everything afterwards. Some are good some might be bad ones. What if we are given a chance to go back to the past and try to correct that event to our favor? Sounds exciting as well as frightening! Back in those days, he is just a school going kid living with his single mother. He wonders what he has to co

Review-Kaichou wa Maid Sama!

Kaichou wa Maid Sama! (The class president is a maid! ) What will happen if someone finds out your best kept secret? Have you ever wondered how protagonist girl in the typical Shoujo anime world is often portrayed as fragile, innocent and oblivious. If you are looking for change then you should definitely check the female lead here- Ayuzawa Misaki. She is student council president of Seika high school. It was previously boys only school notorious for rowdy students. Misaki has been working hard to make the place better for girl students. She is fearless, authoritative and strives for well-being of school. However in the eyes of boys she is the villain as she puts lot of restriction on them. Behind this facade of strictness, she is harboring a secret. Being from not so well to do household she has been working as part timer at Maid cafe. The 'maid Misaki' is completely opposite of her school personality. She has not told anyone  as people will judge her. It will ruin
