Causes and Symptoms
- You have binge watched an entire drama on weekend. It was an awesome drama and you are still not able to get out of it.
- You started watching too many dramas together. In this case you can't feel any connection to any of those.
- You heard/read spoiler and you didn't like it. If the things are not going as per our wish then why bother wasting time? Sounds familiar? Many of us are guilty of doing this.
- Taking break for way too long time that you have forgotten what was actually happening in the drama.
- You have practically finished watching every drama of celebrity you stan. There's nothing more left now. And now can't figure out what to do with your life.
There might be innumerable other reasons. Now we know that we are in drama slump. The next thing is how to get over it.
1. The best way is to acknowledge the drama slump and take nice break. Remember you always wanted to clean up your cupboard since two months? Perfect time for that. There will be at least one activity you have kept aside since eternity.
2. Re-watch the good old ones. There is no harm in revisiting that one drama you like very much.
3. Watch behind the scenes videos and interviews of actors of shows you like.
4. Read reviews of the drama you have watched. See what other people's thoughts and opinions.
5. I know how you can't stop clicking on the next episode after that terrific cliff hanger. But binge watching is the biggest reason for the drama slump. Try to space out the episodes and you will be all good to go. Remember 'one episode a day' is our mantra.
6. Explore new avenues. In the era of internet there are many options available for entertainment. May be you can look beyond your conventional dramas, try watching something from different cultures and countries.
7. Don't worry. This is temporary. This too shall pass. Consider this as a nice break and just relax. You know how hectic life is when we are totally hooked to dramas.
If you have tried something to break this jinx successfully feel free to share with all of us.
